Beat the heat with this easy Iced Kapé recipe

Kumusta? With the heat wave casting an unforgiving hot spell along the Coast Salish territories (Vancouver, BC) this season, we thought it fitting to share a favourite iced coffee recipe here. We hope you are staying cool and hydrated if you’re in heat dome like we are.

Kapé Cocktail

Serving

  • 1 cup

Total Time

  • 6 min

You’ll need:

  • 8-12 oz brewed coffee

  • lots of ice!

  • sparkling or soda water (optional)

  • 1 tbsp muscovado or raw sugar (optional)

Directions:

  1. Brew coffee using preferred method (French press or aeropress is great)! Let cool for a few minutes.

  2. Load lots of ice in a shaker, then add muscovado or organic brown sugar (if you like it lightly sweetened - adjust to your liking).

  3. Pour coffee in the shaker. Cover tightly then shake for about 10 to 15 seconds.

  4. Add sparkling water if desired,  and serve on the rocks in your fave glass/ cup!
