Join us for Meryenda on July 1st
You’re invited!
On Wednesday, July 1st, we are continuing the celebration of Philippine Heritage Month (because our stories don't end when June does!).
As many of us also reflect on what this day means in so-called Canada—including our responsibilities to Indigenous Peoples and these lands—we are choosing to gather with intention, over coffee, food, and conversation.
Together with our friends from SUBO and Kulinarya, we'll be hosting a Meryenda Tasting Experience, a curated pairing of Philippine specialty coffees and Filipino meryenda (morning or afternoon snacks; my favourite meal of the day!).
I have always believed that coffee has a way of helping people feel at home. For some, that means reconnecting with their heritage. For others, it's experiencing a taste of the Philippines for the very first time. Either way, a shared cup has a beautiful way of bringing people together.
If that sounds like something you'd enjoy, We’d love to brew coffee for you!
Meryenda Tasting Experience, 10:00–11:00 AM | Tickets here.
Afterwards, from 11:00am–3:00pm, we'll have an open café pop-up featuring Philippine-grown, locally roasted coffee, Filipino pastries, and savoury bites.
If you can't make the tasting, please feel free to stop by anytime—even just to say hello!
There's always room for all of us at the table. We’d love to share one with you.
