From the misty highlands of Lanao del Sur, this Kapé is grown by the farmers of the St. Mary’s of Downtown Farmers’ Cooperative, where coffee cultivation has become both a craft and a pathway toward lasting community stability.

This naturally processed coffee opens with the bright, tropical sweetness of pinya, followed by the warm richness of cacao, and finishes with the gentle, nostalgic sweetness of strawberry jam. The result is a vibrant yet balanced cup—fruit-forward, comforting, and layered with character.

Careful natural processing allows the coffee cherry to dry slowly around the bean, developing deeper fruit notes and natural sweetness while preserving the distinct flavors of the region.

The cup is lively yet grounded—a coffee that feels like sunrise in the mountains: fresh, bright, and full of promise.

Coffee as a Pathway to Peace

Kapé sourced this coffee through our partnership with Coffee for Peace, a Mindanao-based organization that has worked since 2006 to support coffee-growing communities in conflict-affected areas.

Through specialty coffee farming, many families and communities—including the St. Mary’s of Downtown Farmers’ Cooperative—have been able to transition away from the uncertainties of conflict toward purposeful, sustainable livelihoods rooted in the land. These initiatives have helped create not only better coffee, but stronger communities where collaboration, economic opportunity, and shared stewardship of the land can thrive.

Every cup of this Kapé supports that ongoing journey.

A coffee that reminds us how cultivation—of land, craft, and community—can grow something far greater than what’s in the cup.
